During a speech not long ago President Obama joked about «12-hours fireplace» and Norwegian Broadcast tv-show; «Bergensbanen minute by minute» at the Nordic state visit to the White House.
The man has great humor and one of the guests was our Prime Minister, Erna Solberg. (Not sure if she’d understood the joke..lolz)
But, what he talked about was the consept that has taken Norwegian TV-viewers by storm!
«Slow-TV» is a Live-show that goes on for hours, days and weeks, non-stop!
Us Norwegians has become’d common to the consept «Slow-TV» and this time NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation) has banged the big drum!
Launching a five week non-stop-tv-show of birds flirting, mating, nesting and hatching!
In the midst of the steep cliff at birdcliff Hornøya outside Vardo, hangs something that does not belong here!
NRK has received permission to install 15 cameras in the steep mountains, dense up by nests of seabirds that nest here. Little do they know that they will be this summer’s new TV stars.
This summer NRK shows «the world’s wildest reality» – directly from bird colony.
From June 10 – July 12, you can choose from eight direct LIVE cameras from the bird colony and monitor the live stream 24 hours a day.
